Acceptable Use Policy
Effective 10 June 2026
Fly Away Paul exists to make outreach tasteful. This policy keeps it that way — for recipients, for you, and for everyone sharing the network.
This Policy forms part of our Terms of Service. It applies whenever you research or send through Fly Away Paul. When you send — from your own inbox or a domain you verify with us — you are the sender and, in data-protection terms, the controller of your outreach. You are responsible for complying with this Policy and the law.
The one-line version: only contact businesses you have a genuine, lawful reason to contact; lead with something relevant to them; make it easy to opt out; and stop the moment they ask. If you wouldn't be comfortable explaining the message to the recipient's face, don't send it.
1. Contact lawfully
- Use Fly Away Paul for genuine business-to-business outreach, where you have a lawful basis to make contact (typically legitimate interests for relevant B2B messages).
- Comply with all applicable laws, including UK GDPR, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), and the equivalent rules wherever your recipients are (e.g. GDPR in the EU, CAN-SPAM in the US, CASL in Canada).
- Do not email individual consumers (or role-less personal addresses) without a proper lawful basis or consent. Fly Away Paul is built for reaching businesses, not the general public.
2. Make every message honest & easy to leave
- Be truthful about who you are and why you're writing. No misleading subject lines, sender names or “re:” trickery.
- Include accurate sender identification and a clear, working way to opt out. Messages sent through our domain feature carry an unsubscribe link automatically; if you send from your own inbox, you must make opting out easy too.
- Honour opt-outs immediately and permanently. We maintain a suppression list and will not knowingly let you contact anyone who has opted out.
3. Don't spam
- No mass, indiscriminate blasting. Fly Away Paul is paced and considered by design — don't try to defeat that.
- No buying, scraping-at-scale, or uploading harvested/illegitimate contact lists.
- Don't send repeatedly to people who haven't engaged, or pursue anyone who's asked you to stop.
4. Never use it for harm
You must not use the Service to send or promote anything that is:
- unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or a scam (including phishing or impersonation);
- harassing, threatening, hateful, or that targets people for who they are;
- sexually explicit, or promoting violence, self-harm or illegal goods/services;
- infringing someone's intellectual property or confidentiality;
- malware, or anything designed to compromise security.
5. Protect the network
- Don't do anything that harms email deliverability for other users, or that risks our or our providers' sending reputation.
- Don't misuse the research tools to gather data for purposes outside genuine outreach.
- One verified domain, one suppression list, one opt-out — don't try to circumvent them.
6. If you break this Policy
We may, where reasonable, warn you, pause sending, suspend, or close your account — and, where the law requires, report serious misuse. We'd always rather have a quiet word first, but protecting recipients and the network comes first.
7. Tell us
Seen something sent through Fly Away Paul that breaches this Policy? Please let us know: [email protected].
